Job Description:
The Department of Mathematics and Physics at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute (Utica site) invites applications for a full-time temporary Physics Lecturer position beginning Fall 2016.   Demonstrated excellence in teaching and working with undergraduate students is essential. Participation in oversight, development, and implementation of the existing and new physics laboratories is expected.

The new hire will help support the rapid growth which has occurred in the Engineering programs at SUNY Poly, as well as support Applied Mathematics, other majors, and the Physics minor. Other reasonable duties as assigned


Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Physics from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization and prior teaching experience in an undergraduate setting are required.

Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population.  This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Physics or related field is preferred, ABD will be also considered. Candidates with active research program are encouraged to apply.
