Job Description
Position Summary
The Department of Physics at Seattle University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer to begin September 2016. The appointment will be for one year. The Department of Physics offers the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Arts degrees, with no graduate programs. The emphasis of the department faculty is on quality teaching and on involvement of physics majors in faculty research. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated teacher of physics at both the introductory level for students of many majors and at the intermediate and advanced course level for physics majors. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a variety of lecture and laboratory physics courses over the three academic quarters during 2016-17.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in physics or a closely related discipline, demonstrated teaching excellence or promise of teaching excellence, and a commitment to undergraduate education are essential.
